Speaking of Scary Things

Cheryl, Vonda and I went up to Estes Park on November 21st. When we got there it was snowing and cold and windy but like typical Colorado weather, the sun soon came out and warmed us up a little. We did some shopping and had lunch. We didn't actually count but I think there were 1,284 candy stores. It seemed like every other store front was selling some sort of sweets! And you are sorely mistaken if you think we didn't stop (twice). Then we went to The Stanley Hotel. We had a nice chat in front of the fireplace in some really comfy chairs (I think all of us fell asleep at separate times) and then had a (very strong) Irish coffee. We went downstairs and were enjoying a slide show of pictures with ghosts in them. We braved it out for good few minutes but then one freaked me out and I ran. Once they caught up to me we hightailed it out of there and made our way back to Denver. It was a very fun day and a much needed road trip for all of us. Thanks ladies!!
