Spaghetti Sauce Cook-Off
Vonda and Paul had a holiday party on Dec. 4 and it centered around a cook-off between Paul and Vonda's mother, Penny, to see who had the best sauce. Paul is from Utica (sidenote: it turns out one of his sisters was my math teacher in middle school (and my favorite math teacher ever)) and he threatened me that since I'm from Upstate NY I better know which sauce was his. Well I did and in my humble opinion it was the best! But Penny triumphed although I think she had some help considering the total number of votes was more than the number of people in attendance. Just sayin'. I requested that he make some of his delicious sausage bread to accompany the spaghetti. His brother ended up making it (I guess Paul was too busy making sauce or something) and it was a huge hit. I felt it was my duty to stand next to the bread and educate people on what sausage bread is and in the process I ate way too much. It was a great party Vonda and Paul! Thank you!!

Tell Dave the pin rocks. That's what I want for Christmas next year. ;-)
