Work, Vacation, Work

What seemed like a good idea at the time, I booked an airline ticket, leaving Denver on June 1st and returning on June 19th. Turned out it was about a week too long! I went to PVD for work for the first week and then the fun began...vacation! Mum had a party on June 6th. She disguised it as a "Sara's home" party but it was her birthday so I told everyone it was her birthday party. Don't worry mom, when they asked how old you were, I didn't tell. :)

Inevitably, all the Bartell boys end up in a group, away from the rest of the party, to tell stories they don't want the women to hear. Ross, they've heard that story 100 times already!

I'm not sure if this is white trash or genius. Regardless, it was flippin' hilarious! Game 5 of the Stanley Cup playoffs - Detroit Redwings shut out the Pittsburgh Penguins, 5-0. Pittsburgh ended up winning the series in game 7.

"Finally, something I'm interested in!"

I went up to Postdam for a night to spend more time with the boys and to see their new house.

What are younger brothers for anyway?

What happens when you eat dinner and then go out to play on the rope swing that was just hung and you have Aunt Sara who is relentlessly spinning you in circles? You puke. (I'll spare you the picture).

Don't be fooled by those adorable little puppy eyes and velvety soft ears. Lola is a very smart basset hound that gets into a lot of trouble.

Then I made my way over to Andover, Mass to see Lisa and Steve. Lisa and I went to Rockport on Sunday. Very cute little ocean town...can't believe I'd never been there when I lived on the North Shore.

After this, I went back to PVD for a week. All in all it was a great trip but I really missed my boys!
