What are you doing Nov. 12th??

One of the things on my "do before I die" list is to go to a Madonna concert. She has literally never come to Denver but I kept putting off trying to go to another city because well, she's Madonna and she'll be performing forever, right? Well, well, well...she finally included Denver in her next tour. Seeing as how the first show sold out in 25 minutes, I'd say she should come here more often. Cheryl and I were down and out because we didn't get tickets to the show. But when I went to work the Monday after, a surprising source (the only male in our office) told me she added a second show and WE GOT TICKETS!!!

Here's a story to illustrate just how long I've been a Madonna fan. The first tape I ever got was Like a Virgin. The only problem was that I didn't know what a virgin was. Since Madonna thought it was important enough to sing about it, I thought it was important that I knew what it meant. So little, innocent Sara skips over to her mom, pigtails bouncing away, and asks "what's a virgin?" Mom hesitated just long enough to think to herself "holy crap, why did I agree to get this tape for my daugther" and then said "it's a young girl". That must've satisfied me because I went back to listening to "...touched for the very first time! Like a vir-ir-ir-ir-gin!"

-Happy as a little girl, Sara

One of the things i want to do before I die is to save an endangered animal, or help in finding the cure for cancer, or visit an impovershed country and help the poor people there, or to read books to the blind...but I suppose going to a Madonna concert is kind of the same thing.
