Adventures in Traveling
Every year I travel to Providence, RI for work and this year was the second in a row that something went wrong and while I don't think anything can top last year, I'm not interested in making this an "annual" posting. My layover was at JFK and we boarded the plane from JKF to Boston at 6:30 pm. Six hours later (it's typically a 45 minute flight) we touch down in Boston. Yes, we were stuck on the plane in JFK due to thunderstorms. The good thing (if there is one in this situation) is that I was on JetBlue which has DirecTV so when we actually did have a signal, I was able to watch my HGTV (reminder, I don't have cable at home so this was a luxury).
Subsequently, I had a day unlike any other I've had in a long, long time! Since I didn't get to sleep until almost 3 AM (good thing that Superman clock is so cool, it doesn't matter if you can hardly tell the time), I spent Saturday, literally in bed...I didn't even read! I got up around 11 to have a couple bowls of cereal and then went back to bed until 5:45. Sheesh, did I need a little R&R or what? I was staying at Lisa and Steve's in Arlington, MA and we had a tasty dinner and then I got to watch an episode of House Hunters that she had taped for me. The reason she taped it is that the woman that was looking for a house was looking in Virginia Village (our neighborhood) and OUR house was on TV! The even funnier part was that the house the woman picked is right behind us and down one! In the episode she talked about entertaining and I can attest to that...she definitetly likes to entertain! How funny? Our house has had it's 15 minutes of fame.
