Our friends
Laura and Andrew were married on October 17th in Cape Giradeau, MO. Everything took place at Dalhousie Golf Club which apparently is a ranked golf course in the U.S. All I know is that we had a great time and the hospitality was beyond gracious. We got in Thursday and went to a welcome dinner. Friday we went on a wine tasting and then on a guided tour of Cape and then to the rehearsal dinner. Saturday, Dave went to play a few holes of golf and then we attended the wedding. The weather all weekend was overcast and low 50's. On Saturday the sun even came out for a while but then literally when the wedding started on the 16th hole, it started to drizzle. It eventually stopped and right as they kissed and walked down the aisle, it started to rain. All the guests drove carts out to the 16th hole and with it being fall, it was quite the sight. All of the dinners were amazing and there was an open bar all weekend...I can't even image what the bar tab was as there was a lot of drinking going on all weekend. We had a fabulous time and lots of laughs.
Pear and walnut salad

This is one of our friends helping himself to a drink while the bar was left unattended. Even though it was an open bar, we knew it was something he shouldn't be doing. He asked me and another guy to keep a watch out for him. I was too busy taking the picture and he totally got busted. He yelled at us asking why we didn't give him a head's up. I told him my excuse and the other dude said "I saw her coming, I just wanted to see you get in trouble". Too funny.

The infamous shot ski.

That's me on the far left.

We got a lot of laughs out of this "bush" tied to a chair.

Sunday we had enough time to go to the Gateway Arch in St. Louis. It was a gorgeous day (albeit a tad chilly and windy).
