Amy has a big birthday coming up this year. That along with the fact that
my birthday ended up costing her way more than she planned on, I felt like treating her to something special. We both like The Killers and they happened to have a show at Red Rocks this year on Sept. 9th so that's what we did. We went up early to tailgate since it was a gorgeous night and we met/saw some interesting people as you always do at a concert. We saw one woman go up to three guys that were drinking two cars down. She offered them a dollar for a beer but they were nice enough to give it to her for free. She then proceeded to get in her car and drive away. WTF?? Then another unprepared patron came up to the guys and asked if they had any plastic cups. One guy said he had one in his car so he walked down to get it. He must've not been getting it at the speed she wanted b/c she went to another car and asked them if they had a cup. They had an empty plastic water bottle and she took it! Hello...H1N1?? That's just gross.

About half way through the opening act we went up to get some seats. We plopped ourselves on a ledge with a pretty good view. One of the two guys next to us got up to get a drink and this drunk guy comes over and tries to jump up into his seat. Amy tells him that someone is sitting there and he says "I have a skinny ass, I'll fit." Whatever dude. Between Amy and the other guy, they ran him off. Later on I catch sight of him attempting to eat nachos. Have you ever seen that
David Hasselhoff video of him drunk in a hotel room trying to eat a burger? That's exactly what it was like. That's entertainment right there. Then there was the couple that couldn't stop making out. I get it, sometimes you have a few drinks and the moment is right so you play kissy-face for a little bit but this went on for half the show! At one point he got up and serenaded her and I threw up in my mouth.
The Killer's themselves were awesome! It was a great show and we had a great time! Happy early birthday Amy!
