It has been established that I don't have a very good memory. While I don't remember if we did this every single year (mom, did we?), I do remember coloring eggs for Easter. I remember those little green cups that mom put the colored water into that were just big enough for one egg. I'm surprised I don't remember Josh being an ejit and ruining all my eggs. Another fond Easter memory is when one of my favorite chocolates (those Nestle crunch eggs) were hidden all across our living and dining rooms. The best was when mom counted how many eggs she, I mean the Easter Bunny, hid so that she would make sure we got them all but by the time we were done hunting she had forgotten how many she hid. Months later we'd find a stray egg (and eat it).
What sparked my trip down memory lane is that Amy invited me over to help decorate Easter eggs tonight. If you ever want to know just exactly how much patience a two and a half year old has...just try decorating eggs and you'll find out. Brewer was too cute and couldn't wait to dunk all his eggs (and hands) into the pretty colors. Meanwhile, Amy and I waited until the little tablets dissolved, used those flimsy egg holder thingys, and attempted to be creative. Brewer got bored with his eggs just sitting there in the cups so he "helped" us with our eggs.
Brewer turning into the Hulk.

My masterpiece. Nobody ever accused me of being an artist.

Gee, I don't remember being that obsessive about finding the eggs! Always wished we could have a hunt outside but you could never count on the weather!
Hope the Easter Bunny visits your house again this year.
