Foxy Lady Cont'd

Week 2:
Her ears. Don't even get me started on those ears. They are softer than velvet and I can't get enough of them!
Okay B.S. - what's with the head nod? It kind of reminds me of a horse. She'll sit there and nod her head sometimes. Dave had warned me that when she does that it means she needs to go outside. Well, since it's been so nice out, they're never cooped up long enough to have to go to the bathroom that bad. So I can't quite figure out if it means anything or if it's just another cute little quirk of hers.

I tried brushing her teeth. Since Zeke gets a touch up (almost) every week I decided to see if Poppy was game. She was interested enough that she came and sat in front of me. Because she's such a sweet girl she tolerated me brushing her front teeth. Before I could get more toothpaste on the brush she was gone. Maybe next week I'll try her ears. I haven't looked inside them yet...I've been too busy rubbing my cheek on them. Zeke hates getting his ears cleaned so I don't have high hopes.

She loves car rides. If it's nice outside (read not too hot, not too cold) I usually take Zeke everywhere with me so Poppy has been tagging along too since we've had her. Poppy likes to hang her head out the window. Way out. Scary out. So I open the window just enough so she can get her nose out. Somehow she still manages to put her feet on the door and stick her neck out. Occasionally she'll come inside and put her head between the two front seats and occasionally she'll shake her head. The first time this happened I thought one of her eye boogers landed on my neck. I almost got in a car accident. I had my eye on that thing (it was a big, long goopy one...grody) when she was hanging out the window. I thought that maybe I should take care of it at the next stop light. But there I was paralyzed (after the jerky motion that almost led to a car accident), afraid to touch what might be on my neck. Turns out it wasn't her eye booger (who knows where that thing landed), it was just her drool.
