Did you know that if you book a flight and you don't get on the outgoing flight they void your ticket and you can't get home (at least on Continental and I'm guessing on every other corrupt airline except for Southwest...LOVE Southwest!)? Oh, but it gets worse. I won't go into details of why I didn't get on my flight from Denver to Rochester (trust me though, they were good reasons) but I went to check in at Continental to go from Rochester to Denver today and they informed me that my ticket was void because I didn't get on the flight from Denver to Rochester two days ago. So you're telling me that I paid over $400 for a seat to go to and from Denver and now I can't get on the plane? So since I no longer have a reservation and won't be using your services, can I get a refund? Nope! Ugh!!! To be honest I haven't really fought this last point very hard yet...I'm way too frustrated right now to act civilized to someone. I'll let you know how that turns out. At least I can get home tonight though. I did leave a message for an organization I read about in Reader's Digest...the Coalition for Airline Passengers. If they end up being helpful I'll let you know and post their phone number. On a lighter note, read my next posting (which you probably read already since it will be posted above this one). :)

You can't get on the return flight? That's absurd!!!!!! I'm SO with you though, Southwest Rocks. I used to dislike the fact that you have to jump up fast to stand in a line to hopefully get on the plane in enough time to get a spot for your carry-on....BUT they don't charge for baggage and still give a bag of treats and a drink for FREE - it really is the little things isn't it?
