Scary Thing

I love living in the thriving metropolis of Denver. Okay, maybe where I am isn't thriving but I'm still in Denver proper. Things you expect to see in a city the size of Denver: diversity, traffic, homeless people, great restaurants, great shopping. Things you don't expect to see in the city: coyotes.

Last Saturday I was putting something in my trunk around 9:15 in the morning and I turned around and a coyote was trotting down the street! When I got home from work (yes work, that's another scary thing but I'll save that for later) I took Zeke for a walk and it was about 4:15 and about a 1/4 mile from our house, here comes the coyote, trotting towards us. I stood still and it crossed to the other side of the street (thank goodness) and Zeke and I watched it go past us and it turned on to our street. Grab your babies and small animals and lock yourself in your house and don't let them out of your sight!

First foxes, now coyotes! What next, lions and tigers and bears?
