April Snow Showers Bring May Dead Flowers

December was really cold, then we had a super mild winter with hardly any snow. Then spring came full force...with snow! I'm really hoping that the snow is done for the year. The last day it snowed was April 27th. Of course this was the day after I bought tomato plants and had them out in the sun the day before and forgot to bring them in for the night. I woke up to the dude on the radio saying "...with the snow we received...". I shot out of bed and nearly ran outside with my slippers on as if not taking the extra second to put on real shoes was going to make a difference in whether or not they got frostbite. Luckily they survived with just a few damaged leaves. Other flowers from bulbs were not so lucky...
